Hatha means absolute stillness in mind and body.uttanasana


A disturbed mind will become pleasant after true hatha practice. Hatha is not a physical action alone. When just the thought of an asana makes you still and meditative, then you have become an adhikari, or a true practioner. A true practioner can reach this state in an asana regardless of time or context.

 

Asana is accomplished when;

  • You are aware of your asana
  • You’re comfortable
  • You are still in the asana
  • Your whole being is involved in the asana
  • External glow develops on your face
  • Others notice chinhas-signs (changes) in you
